About the event
Elderberry Syrup- Elderberry is a bush that you can grow in your own backyard. Elderberries have been used by Native Americans for hundreds of years. The berries are high in Vitamin C, carotene, iron, phosphorus, antioxidants and potassium. The Native Americans primarily used it as an antiviral, immune booster and as an anti-inflammatory.
Fire Water- Fire Water, as named by famous herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar, has been used in the mountains to give mountaineers a pep in their step. It has anti-inflammatory properties, aids in digestion and boosts your metabolism.
Echinacea Tincture- You can grow echinacea in your garden! Echinacea is used to shorten the duration of colds and the flu, to fight infections, and to lesson the symptoms of illness.
We will be cooking and preparing these remedies.
Please bring to the class: 3 Pint Jars and 3 8 oz Jars.
