Class Summary: Composting, Vermiculture & Homemade Fertilizers

Learn how to turn everyday kitchen scraps into powerful tools for growing healthy plants. In this hands-on class, we’ll cover three essential homesteading skills: composting, vermiculture (worm farming), and making your own natural fertilizers using kitchen scraps.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Start and maintain a simple compost system at home

  • Use worms to break down food waste and create rich, living soil

  • Make effective liquid and solid fertilizers from common kitchen scraps
